The world’s first electric heating system for truck bodies and trailers

The demand for electric trucks is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, with some forecasts predicting annual growth exceeding 50%. This trend is not limited to last-mile delivery vehicles: for example, Mercedes’ new eActros 600 model offers a range of 500 km and can be charged from 20% to 80% in about 30 minutes.

The transportation industry is changing. Therefore, we are very proud to announce that SSC, in collaboration with Scania, has developed the world’s first electric heating system (eHVH) for truck bodies and trailers! The first systems have already been delivered to Finland and Sweden.

We are currently finalizing CAN bus programming to ensure eHVH compatibility with Volvo and Mercedes electric trucks.
